Dustin Rhodes: If Your Contract Is Up And You’ve Had Enough With AEW, ‘Get The F-ck Out’

Dustin Rhodes says that if anyone wants to leave AEW because it’s not working for them, they should move on if they decide that’s their best course of action.

Rhodes has been with AEW since 2019, and he works both as a wrestler and as a coach. He has remained with the company since his brother, Cody, left earlier this year, and he is often commended for his work with the women’s division.

During a panel at Terrificon (via Fandom Spotlite), Rhodes asked about about the new regime in WWE and the possibility of AEW talent jumping ship once their contracts are up. In response, “The Natural” noted that some talents are locked down to multi-year deals, but he stated that, for those who will have that option, if they’ve had enough of AEW and want to leave, they should go.

“Well, did you see Tony’s interview? I mean, you got the few that just left there, they’re under five-year deals, right, so we got ‘em for a while,” said Rhodes. “They’re not just gonna up and leave. You can’t do that. That’s what a contract is about. As far as anybody else that doesn’t have that deal, hey man, go for it. Whatever. I think experience it if you want to. If you don’t like the current atmosphere, it’s a personal issue, you need to move on, right. Maybe they’ll do something different with you over there.

“You know what I mean? I think it’s gonna be a change slowly with Triple H at the help, but it’s gonna be a good change. It’s not gonna be a bad change. If not, it’s gonna be a little bit of the same, plus a little more wrestling, I would say, a little more storytelling, which will be great for the business and great for wrestling fans. Yeah, I mean, you got so many places you can go now, you know. But two places that really, really stand out are ours and theirs. You have to want one of those two. Whatever you do, just make the best of it. If your contract’s up and you’ve had enough with AEW, go, get the f—- out.”
