We have new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The August 2 edition of WWE NXT 2.0 opened with a fatal four-way elimination match to crown new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions in the aftermath of Cora Jade turning on Roxanne Perez a few weeks ago. On the July 26 episode, Perez fished Jade’s title out of the trash after the latter threw it away, saying she wanted the championships to be treated with respect. WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze then announced the four-way match for the vacant titles.
The four duos threw everything they had at each other. Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon were the first to be eliminated, followed by Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile. The bout then came down to recent rivals Toxic Attraction and Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. In the end, Chance hit the 450 splash on Jayne with a neckbreaker assist from Carter to score the victory and capture their first championship together.
