AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen Results (7/27): AEW Interim World Title Match

Swerve Strickland vs. Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.

Strickland and Nese start the bout. Swerve drops Nese with a backbreaker and a clothesline. Strickland snaps Nese’s arm over the ropes, but Sterling grabs his hair. The distraction helps Nese take control by slamming Swerve onto the apron. Sterling and Nese gang up on Swerve. Nese blasts Strickland with a kick to the face and continues to ground him. Swerve rocks Nese with a kick, and Sterling inadvertently tags in. Swerve hits a diving uppercut on Nese. Sterling is left by himself, and Swerve drills him with a stiff kick for the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Backstage, the video screen shows Josh Woods standing over Keith Lee after an apparent attack. The distraction helps Nese blindside Swerve.

Malakai Black cuts a promo on Miro and points out that they’re not so different in the way they approach life. He tries to recruit Miro and says he can make sure he gets a spot on the throne. Speaking of his feud with Darby Allin, Brody King says nothing is over until one of them is in the ground. He challenges Allin to a Coffin Match.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Miyu Yamashita

The two women feel each other out early on, and they’re evenly matched. Yamashita counters a suplex, but Rosa catches her with a dropkick. Rosa chops the challenger outside of the ring, but Yamashita blasts her with a kick to the head. The challenger takes control and grounds Rosa. Rosa rallies and gains the upper hand. The champion nails Yamashita with a dropkick. The two women trade blows. They exchange kicks, and Yamashita gets a two count with a German suplex. Yamashita gets another two count with a stiff kick to the head. Rosa gets a two count with an inside cradle, as does Yamashita. The challenger kicks Rosa again. Rosa hits the Thunder Driver for the win.

Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia

Danielson takes the fight to Garcia with a flurry of offense. Garcia fights back with some elbows and eats some stiff strikes from “The American Dragon.” Garcia drills Danielson with an uppercut. Danielson continues to control the action. Garcia gains the upper hand, and Danielson gets busted open. A DDT on the bare concrete floors Danielson. The doctor checks on him at ringside, but Garcia throws “The American Dragon” back into the ring. Garcia grounds Danielson, but the former world champion fires back with a stiff strike. Garcia chokes Danielson in the corner. Danielson superplexes Garcia, and both men are down. Danielson drills Garcia with several kicks. Garcia locks in a sleeper, but Danielson rolls through and escapes. He goes for the Cattle Mutilation and turns it into a tiger suplex. Garcia elbows Danielson, and “The American Dragon” responds with elbows of his own.

Danielson hits the running knee strike, but Garcia evades the LeBell Lock by reaching the ropes. A hand reaches up from beneath the ring and grabs Danielson. The interference helps Garcia lock in the Sharpshooter, and Danielson passes out.

Winner: Daniel Garcia

After the match, Jake Hager enters the ring, and it’s clear that he’s the one who interfered. Garcia, Hager, and Chris Jericho stand tall to close the show.
