Mojo Muhtadi Hosting Meet-And-Greet, Proceeds To Benefit Unpaid WES Talent

Mojo Muhtadi is trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

Wrestling Entertainment Series cancelled its debut event on Wednesday, the latest in a series of issues surrounding the event. The promotion issued a statement and claimed all talent that was scheduled for the show has been paid, but it appears that was not the case, as some UK talent is waiting to be paid.

Mojo Muhtadi (aka Mojo Rawley) posted the following statement, announcing he will still be in England this week due to having travel arranged for the WES event. Mojo said he’ll be hosting a meet-and-greet event on July 10, and the proceeds will benefit unpaid UK talent originally booked for the show.

“Unfortunate to see the cancellation of WES. I was very excited to step back in the ring, and HYPED to battle with Damo. I really feel for all the fans who had interest in the talent on this show. To anyone that bought a ticket, I will be doing a FREE meet and greet this Sunday so we can all have a great time regardless and STAY HYPED. For those that didn’t buy a ticket to WES and come to the M&G, 100% of that money will go to pay the UK local talent that were supposed to be on the show as I have learned they have not yet been paid,” Mojo wrote. “More info to come on that. Until then, I guess a week long vacation in England with my beautiful fiancée isn’t the worst thing ever!”

The event was scheduled to be Mojo’s second match since he was released by WWE in 2020. Since departing the company, Mojo started a talent management agency and has appeared in a promotional campaign for Pepsi.

Since the initial comments, WES issued a follow-up statement and said that anyone who purchased a ticket or pre-ordered the pay-per-view will be refunded.

Update: Mojo shared details about the meet-and-greet on his Twitter account:
