Tony D’Angelo handled his business with Santos Escobar on the July 5 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, which was the special “Great American Bash” edition.
After weeks of tension between “The Don of NXT” and Legado del Fantasma, who were forced to join D’Angelo’s family due to the latter’s loss at NXT In Your House, Escobar turned on the leader by costing him his North American Championship match on the June 28 episode. The following week, D’Angelo showed the other members of Legado Del Fantasma an image of Escobar laid out in a hospital bed. He didn’t admit to putting his adversary in the hospital, but it seemed like he was responsible.
D’Angelo then told Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde that they had one last chance to prove themselves to him next week. He noted that Elektra Lopez is the only newcomer he has been impressed with, as she increased sales in the port by 18%.
