The National Wrestling Alliance delivered a new episode of NWA Powerrr on June 21. The show aired on FITE, and it will also be available for streaming on YouTube starting on Friday.
Nick Aldis was in action on the show, as he faced Brett Buffshay. Plus, Tyrus and Cyon faced The Ill Begotten.
The results are as follows:
- Tyrus opens the show with an interview and discusses Mims’ injury. He stated that he has defended the title seven times, so he could cash in the title if he wanted to. Tyrus teases that he could carry two titles. He noted that he doesn’t have to follow “the lucky seven.” He also calls Cyon a great tag team partner and says they’re going to make a statement. He also says he’s running out of mountains to climb.
- After a replay of Kamille’s win over KiLynn King, the two women are set to a face-to-face confrontation. Kamille discusses her year-long reign as the champion and looks back on some of the names she has defended the titles against. She explains that King gave her the toughest test she’s had yet. She calls out King, who’s in her gear because she’s “always ready.” Kamille emphasizes that King took her to her limit. King gives the champion some respect back and says she proved her point by showing the world she was a serious competitor. She says she was “this close” to defeating Kamille, so she’s not done with the champion yet. King tells Kamille she’s coming for the title, and “the king” will end her reign. Kamille says she wouldn’t have it any other way.
- In an interview, Homicide addresses Luke Hawx’s comments; he said he felt disrespected by the champion. Homicide says “we got big boys in this clubhouse”, and it’s not the time to be a sensitive boy. He makes it clear that he’s happy to have the title, and he’s a fighting champion. Homicide says that anyone who wants the title has to go through him, and they’re gonna have a problem.
- Nick Aldis defeated Brett Buffshay
- After the match, Aldis does an interview. He says sometimes in this line of work, you become a victim of your own success; you can do everything right, but all it does it make you a target for anyone that enters the promotion after he did the heavy lifting. Aldis says nobody can touch him and shifts his focus to the world title. He congratulates Trevor Murdoch for winning the gold and says he had him beat. Aldis says if Murdoch ever feels like facing “The National Treasure” and becoming a real world’s champion, he knows where to find him.
- In an interview, the NWA National Heavyweight Champion Jax Dane says the fans are welcome for his time. He says he’s responsible for the sell-out at Alwayz Ready. He says nobody has the guts to step up to him. Eric Jackson confronts him and says he wants a match with Dane. The champion recalls how he beat Jackson the last time they faced off, and he tries to leave. Jackson attacks Dane, but the champion overpowers him and leaves the young prospect lying.
- In an interview, PJ Hawx is asked about Homicide’s anger towards his father, Luke. PJ says he and Homicide had a hard-fought bout. He notes that Homicide and Luke got caught up in the mix during the post-match brawl that involved The Fixers, and he’s hopeful they can work it out.
- Tyrus and Cyon defated The Ill Begotten (Jeremiah Plunkett and Alex Taylor)
- Austin Idol comes out to celebrate with Tyrus and Cyon after the match.
