Jordynne Grace Doesn’t Think She Got Her Due With First Knockouts Title Win

Jordynne Grace wants another shot to prove what she can do as IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts Champion.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Jordynne Grace promoted her appearance in the first-ever Queen Of The Mountain match and spoke about what it would mean to win the Knockouts Championship for a second time. Grace held the title once before, but feels like she didn’t get a proper chance to show what she’s capable of as champion.

“Honestly, I don’t think I got my due in my first Knockouts title run because of the pandemic. I won it and then basically immediately the pandemic happened. I won it in January and the pandemic happened in March and I didn’t really get the chance to defend it in front of any of the live crowds. A lot of my defenses were in front of nobody, which absolutely sucked for me,” she stated. “I feel like this is my opportunity to really show what I can do with the Knockouts title and show that I can be the champion for the fans, if that makes sense.”

Jordynne Grace held the Knockouts Championship for 182 days in 2020. She ended Taya Valkyrie’s record 377-day reign to win the title in January 2020, but lost the belt to Deonna Purrazzo at Slammiversary that same year. If she wants to win the title back at this year’s event, she will have to best current champion Tasha Steelz, Purrazzo, Chelsea Green and Mia Yim in the Queen Of The Mountain match at Slammiversary on June 19.
