Satnam Singh wants to become the next great big man in professional wrestling, and he has his sights set on one of his legendary predecessors.
AEW signed the seven-footer in September 2021, and he spent the next few months training before he made his controversial TV debut on AEW Dynamite in April. He has appeared several times since then alongside Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. Now, the former NBA draftee will compete in his first televised match on the June 10 episode of AEW Rampage.
Ahead of the show, Singh participated in a Bleacher Report AMA, and when he was asked about the hardest thing to learn in wrestling, he noted that he’s just learning as he goes.
“I don’t think anything is really hard,” Singh replied. “I’m just learning by seeing things and I don’t really have trouble with specific moves.”
AEW’s roster is loaded with talent, so any number of dream matches are potentially available to the giant. When asked about who he wants to step into the ring with, he noted that he’s open to facing anyone, but he specifically named Paul Wight, formerly known as The Big Show.
“I’m ok with anyone right now,” said Singh. “I’m really open with all wrestlers. Maybe Big Show? That would be a great opportunity for me to go face to face with him.”
Winning championships is always the goal, so while titles aren’t his top priority at the moment, Singh stated that he hopes he wins a title some day.
“Not yet, but this will be my dream to have a title in my hand,” said Singh. “I don’t know just yet, but I pray a title gets to me soon.”
