Kevin Nash will dish out some verbal big boots on his new podcast.
The WWE Hall of Famer is starting the Kliq This podcast with Sean Oliver; the show will premiere on July 11, and the official announcement made it clear that fans can expect “uncensored and unfiltered conversation.”
In an interview with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, Nash and Oliver discussed the show and how it will stand out in the crowd world of wrestling podcast. “Big Daddy Cool” made it clear that Kliq This exclusively won’t be about his career; instead, he’ll be talking about current events in the world of pop culture and beyond.
“…I won’t be reliving my past every week,” said Nash. “I’ll be talking about current events. I’m not gonna have Bruce Springsteen’s Glory Days playing in the background every time I speak.”
Oliver made it clear that fans enjoyed their work together in their shoot interviews, and viewers particularly seemed to enjoy hearing the conversation veer off in various directions. He noted that they took that formula and applied to the strategy for Kliq This, which will be based on the appeal of hearing “Kevin Nash on everything.”
Nash went on to emphasize that the show won’t just be about wrestling, as he’s more passionate about things that directly impact him.
“I’m absolutely gonna cover [wrestling],” said Nash. “I know what my fan base is, my fan base is a lot of wrestling fans. But I’m also not going to be talking about a 23-minute match that started RAW for 23 minutes. That ain’t gonna happen. I’m more excited that the Dow was almost up two points today. I’m more excited about those things that actually affect my life.”
The former WWE Champion then described how he’s been hearing people talk about him and his career for a long time, and he’s ready to put people in their place and call them on their “bulls—.”
“There’s so many things where I’ve watched and heard on so many of these different podcasts that I’ve just bit my tongue,” said Nash. “They’ve talked about me, they’ve talked about different things that have happened in my career, and they’ve given their opinion. And most of it’s just bulls—. And they don’t think there’s gonna be a rebuttal. So there’s a couple people out there that are gonna catch a big boot in July. Some of these people need to be put in their place, and I’m just that guy.”
In addition to the series’ premiere, Nash and Oliver will host a live edition of Kliq This at StarrCast V.
