AEW/ROH Star Kaun Ladder Announced As A LADDER Athlete

Kaun is reaching new heights in the wrestling world, and now he has partnered with LADDER, the sports nutrition brand founded by LeBron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Previously, Kaun starred in Ring of Honor as a member of Shane Taylor Promotions; the group had a remarkable run as the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions. In recent months, he has made multiple appearances on AEW Dark/Dark: Elevation, and he also competed at ROH Supercard of Honor.

LADDER profiled the powerhouse in an interview, and he discussed how the wrestling world has changed since he was a kid. He stated that there are plenty of people who don’t look like wrestlers. Kaun also noted that he wants to “suspend disbelief at all times” by making his striking convincing.

“There’s a lot of people that don’t look like — in my opinion — wrestlers,” said Kaun. “And the business is changing, so that’s fine. But I grew up off the era of Triple H, The Rock, Booker T, The Undertaker, who were like 6’2” and jacked. And now I got people 50 pounds lighter than me trying to powerbomb me. That’s not gonna happen.

“People also don’t like making contact with their strikes. We all know it’s a fake punch, but at least I’d hit you in the face — kind of. Other wrestlers are like a couple inches away from my chin, and it takes the audience out of it. I want to suspend disbelief at all times.”

Kaun went on to describe his approach to training; he made it clear that he works hard and “actually” works out because he takes it seriously.

Yeah, I train very hard. And with how hard I push myself, these are the results that I’ve created. I tell people like, go to the gym and actually f—— work out. Don’t talk to people and sit on your phone for 30 minutes. I kill it for an hour while I’m in there, and I’m exhausted after I’m done. I take this s— seriously.”

Kaun has reportedly signed with AEW as a member of the ROH roster. At Supercard of Honor, he aligned with Tully Blanchard and joined the latter’s new stable, Tully Blanchard Enterprises.
