The two halves of FTR clashed in a high-stakes bout on the April 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On Wednesday night, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler faced off in a qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. CM Punk joined the commentary for the bout, which promised to be a hard-fought battle between partners who know each other better than everyone.
In the opening minutes, the bout was a masterclass of old-school technical wrestling. The two partners, clad in trunks that paid homage to the Hart Foundation, traded holds and counters, as they matched each other step for step.

The action quickly garnered a “This is awesome” chant from the Philadelphia crowd. The pace started to pick up, as Harwood dropped Wheeler with three German suplexes. Both men were down after a mid-air collision on a crossbody attempt. Wheeler nearly clinched the win with a pin attempt on a hurricanrana. The competitors kept going back and forth as they threw everything they had each other.
The match reached a turning point when both men spilled to the floor on a crossbody that took the duo through the ropes. Back in the ring, Harwood hesitated when he went for a Sharpshooter. Wheeler capitalized by cradling his opponent for a pin attempt, but Harwood rolled through and secured the three count for himself. As a result, Harwood qualified for the tournament.
