Johnny Knoxville Vows To Retire Sami Zayn At WrestleMania; Would Love To Come Back To WWE Afterwards

Johnny Knoxville is going for the jugular when it comes to his WrestleMania 38 opponent in Sami Zayn. The Jackass star is turning pro wrestler next weekend at WrestleMania as he takes on Zayn in a long-standing grudge match between the two. Knoxville spoke with Metro Entertainment before the big weekend upcomming and didn’t mince any words for the former Intercontinental Champion.

‘If you need him to clean your house or maybe give you a pedicure, he’s going to need a lot of odd jobs after WrestleMania because I’m gonna retire him,” Knoxville told Alistar McGeorge of Metro.

“I’m training a bunch and I can’t wait to punch Sami Zayn in that stupid face. I go to sleep thinking about it, I dream about it, I wake up in the morning and it’s the first thing I think about. He’s gonna pay at WrestleMania,” he said. Knoxville did note that he’s been getting “ring ready” before the fight, but didn’t revealed the identity of his trainer.

“I have a personal wrestling coach and he’s teaching me all the right moves,’ he teased. ‘The Warp Your Head Off Hold, the Stepover Toe Hold – all these things I’m gonna bring back.” Knoxville made clear that he’s loved his time working in WWE and wouldn’t be against a second run.

‘I would love to come back and do something more in the future! It’s been a dream come true working with the WWE,’ he gushed. ‘It’s been so much fun, I didn’t realise I would become so completely obsessed with it like I have, it’s so fun!’

Knoxville will be facing Sami in an Anything Goes match which Johnny is all for.

“Oh, I got a few special things planned. I don’t wanna give it away,’ he coyly added. ‘But they said “anything goes” – that’s my specialty!”
