Carmella and Queen Zelina are currently the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, but they haven’t defended their titles in several weeks. The duo’s last championship defense came on the January 3 episode of WWE RAW. With WrestleMania 38 rapidly approaching, the self-proclaimed “Most Beautiful Woman in WWE” hopes to put the titles on the line at the biggest show of the year.
In a recent interview with Joey Hayden of the Dallas Morning News, Carmella stated that she “would love” to defend the gold at WrestleMania 38. At this point, she noted that she’s just hoping to be involved in some capacity. That being said, she described how she’s most excited to interact with the fans again at Axxess and other events.
“I would love to defend our championships or be involved in any capacity,” Carmella said. “I’ve never really had a high profile feud or story going into WrestleMania so that would be amazing. But honestly, what I’m looking forward to most is just that week leading into WrestleMania — being there with the fans. Now, especially that the world seems to be getting back to normal a little bit, we can hopefully have Axxess again and do out meet-and-greets and all of our appearances. Just get back with the WWE Universe, that’s what I’m looking forward to the most.”
Whether the duo will get the chance to compete remains to be seen, but Carmella seems committed and ready should they get the chance to do so.
