WWE Sunday Stunners are coming to a town near you.
WWE is scheduled to be in Fairfax, Virginia on May 1, but the event will now be carrying a new name rather than referring to it as a “WWE Live” event. The event in Fairfax, Virginia is now being advertised as a “WWE Sunday Stunner”, which would indicate another shift in branding for the company’s weekend non-televised events.
This report follows the news that WWE will be re-introducing the “Saturday Night’s Main Event” brand for several of its upcoming Saturday evening post-WrestleMania live events. As of now, these events are only being rebranded in name only and aren’t expected to be televised.
Ticketmaster and the EagleBank Arena website are advertising the change for the Fairfax event, but no other post-WrestleMania Sunday events have been updated to reflect the name change as of press time. WWE also has two other Sunday live events scheduled in Syracuse, NY (April 17) and Binghamton, NY (April 24) that are still advertised without the “Stunner” name, and the other Sunday event that’s scheduled in the spring is the WrestleMania Backlash premium live event on May 8.
