Jay White Wants Bullet Club To Be One United Group, Hopes The Young Bucks ‘Too Sweet’ Him

Jay White has stepped through the Forbidden Door, as he recently appeared on AEW programming for the first time in his impressive career. “Switchblade” will make his AEW in-ring debut on February 19 when he faces Trent Beretta on AEW Rampage. Ahead of this bout, fans continue to speculate about White’s future in the company, especially as it relates to his plan regarding his former Bullet Club stablemates The Young Bucks.

Fellow Bullet Club member Adam Cole opened the door for White’s arrival in AEW in the hopes that the NJPW star can help them all get back on the same page. But tensions continue to escalate between Cole and the Jacksons, and White’s entrance into the picture has only complicated the matter.

During an appearance on Battleground Podcast, White commented on this perceived conflict with the Bucks and shared his vision of one united Bullet Club. He emphasized that he doesn’t have a problem with the duo, though he pointed to his previous victory over Kenny Omega as a potential reason why the Bucks would have a bone to pick with him.

“I’m more thinking instead of splinter groups, I’m more thinking of one united whole,” said White. “You know, you talk about their status and such, there’s no personal issue between myself and Adam Cole. There never has been. Hey, he’s the one that reached out to me to come over to AEW and maybe give the Young Bucks a hand and try and reignite their spark, or just give them a little bit of backup. And on that note, there is no personal issue between myself and the Young Bucks.

“The only thing I can think of is the fact that I beat Kenny back in the beginning of 2018 for the IWGP United States Championship, and those two were ringside for it. But it was a match, you know. I’m hoping, I’m thinking, I’m assuming that there’s nothing personal that came out of that for the Young Bucks against myself. Hell, I don’t think Kenny has anything personal against me. It was a match, he lost. That was it. It should be as simple as that.”

“Switchblade” made it clear that he sees no reason why The Young Bucks can’t throw up Bullet Club’s famous “Too Sweet” sign. If they do, it would help him accomplish his goal of threading the faction through AEW, IMPACT, NJPW and NJPW STRONG.

“So when you talk about their status with Bullet Club, and I’ve said this, I’ve seen the quote, why can’t they throw up the ‘Too Sweet’ again?” said White. “If the right guy is asking, if they don’t have any grudges against me, which I guess we’ll see if they do, why can’t they throw up a ‘Too Sweet’ again? Why can’t it be thrown up on AEW, why can’t it be thrown up on IMPACT, New Japan STRONG, and over in New Japan as well?”

Time will tell whether Bullet Club reunites in AEW, but for now, fans can look forward to White’s first match in the company Friday night on Rampage.
