Megan Bayne, who frequently competes on the independent scene and performs on AEW Dark, has been sidelined with a torn ACL.
“The Greek Goddess” revealed her injury at the IWTV/WWR “Galentine’s Day” show on February 13. RedLeafRetrocast first reported the news.
Trained by Damian Adams (who also trained Deonna Purrazzo) Bayne won the ECWA’s annual Women’s Super 8 Tournament in 2021. Bayne is also a former OVW Women’s Champion and she first appeared on AEW programming in 2021 when she was used as an enhancement talent. More recently, she has picked up three consecutive wins at Dark and Dark: Elevation tapings. Bayne hasn’t wrestled since the AEW Dark tapings on February 5, where she faced Tiffany Nieves.
Update: Bayne commented on the news and vowed to come back better than ever.
“I’ll be back and better than before, nothing can stop #Megasus, not even a mangled knee,” Bayne wrote.
