Grayson Waller has seemingly taken credit for WALTER‘s controversial name change.
On the January 18 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, the former NXT UK Champion declared that his name was “Gunther”, and the wrestling world instantly started buzzing about this new identity. The next day, when WALTER’s WWE profile reflected the change, Waller took to Twitter and explained that he had a problem with the powerhouse’s name.
In a tweet, Waller noted that WALTER is “too close” to his last name. For this reason, he contacted his lawyers to address the issue, and they evidently did as he asked.
Just so everyone knows, Walter was just too close to Waller, so I spoke to my lawyers, and they are GOOD at what they do. You’re welcome

Waller continues to generate plenty of heat on WWE TV and away from it, and this WALTER scenario is just the latest example.
