Dorada signed with WWE in 2016 and competed in the Cruiserweight Classic. After he lost to T.J. Perkins in the tournament finals, Metalik became a featured member of the cruiserweight division on RAW and 205 Live before he joined Lucha House Party alongside Kalisto and Lince Dorado in 2018. The trio worked together for the next few years, but near the end of his WWE run, Metalik was rarely on TV in a prominent position. He reportedly requested his release in September, and the company let him go on November 4 during a wave of releases.
Prior to his time with WWE, Dorada enjoyed a lot of success in CMLL; there, he held the CMLL World Welterweight Championship four times and the World Trios Championship twice, among other titles.
As of this writing, Dorada’s GCW appearance on February 4 will mark his first match since his WWE release.
