The New York Wrestling Connection will honor some of the top performers from its past through its Hall of Fame Classes of 2020 and 2021.
In a tweet, the NYWC announced that AEW star Tony Nese, The SAT (Jose and Joel Maximo) and the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance HWA) as the inductees for these two classes. The NYWC announced that the ceremony will be on January 29 at Sideshow.
The past 2 years have given us time to reflect on those who have made NYWC what it is today. Join us January 29th at Sideshow where we welcome HWA, @TonyNese & The SAT (@RealJoelMaximo & Jose Maximo) into the 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame Classes! pic.twitter.com/nXneAnSMOX

By honoring the HWA, the NYWC will directly honor its past, as the former promotion was the latter’s predecessor. It ran from 1999 to 2000, prior to the establishment of the NYWC.
The promotion has been a rich pipeline of talent in the wrestling world; names like Matt Cardona, John Silver and Trent Berreta have all come through the NYWC.
