Richard Holliday is looking forward to the future, but he’s not sure if that includes facing off with his friend Alex Hammerstone.
During a recent appearance on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Richard Holliday spoke about potentially challenging Alex Hammerstone, his Dynastic bro and the current MLW World Champion.
“Listen, do I think that I would look great with the MLW World Championship? Yeah, I do. Do I think that MLW would benefit with having me as the champion? Part of me, yeah. Is Hammerstone still my best friend? Yes, he is, and he is the World Heavyweight Champion at the moment. Cesar Duran, for anybody who is following, did promise me a world title match. I didn’t really pay much attention to that, but I guess I do have a winning lottery ticket if I did want to cash it in, I don’t know. But for the most part,” Holliday noted, “I’m doing other things in MLW that are fun and amazing.
“You know what it’s funny, is if you ask Hammerstone, he’ll say he wants the match. He wants the match with me. And you know, I see that, and I hear that,” he pointed out, “and I don’t really respond to it. I just think it’s too fresh.
Asked what his future goals in the company are, Holliday said he wants to continue traveling internationally and just wants to get better overall.
“I do have some short-term goals, but for the long term, it’s just to be, right now, it’s to be the most synonymous name with Major League Wrestling. But outside of that, it’s to continue doing what I’m doing; popping up in Seattle, popping up in Los Angeles, going to Texas, going to Puerto Rico, all these amazing places. I do have a goal to go to the United Kingdom, that’s a huge goal of mine. Maybe go live over there and check out the tea shops over there. I wouldn’t order any tea because tea-drinkers are weird, but I would get the coffee over there. I’m sure it’s good. So that’s a goal of mine, for sure. And it’s just, like I said, continuous improvement. That’s how I’ve always looked at the business, you know. It’s how can I get better, how can I get better than last year, or last month? How can I get better than yesterday? And that’s just how I’ve always approached it.
