Cody Rhodes will challenge AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara on a special Christmas night episode of AEW Rampage as part of the two-night AEW Holiday Bash event.
Rhodes confronted “The Spanish God” during an interview with Tony Schiavone on the December 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. The former champion noted that he didn’t intend to blindside Guevara, but he wanted to announce that he was accepting the open challenge for the title. As a result, AEW has booked a buzzworthy bout match for December 25 episode of AEW Rampage, which will conclude the company’s Holiday Bash event.

AEW hasn’t announced any other matches yet, but it’s fair to expect the company to load up the card for the special show on Christmas night. WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
