Big E had a major breakout moment when he won the WWE Championship in September. But two months into his reign, “The Powerhouse of Positivity” could firmly take the next step at WWE Survivor Series on November 21.
At the pay-per-view, he’ll face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a high-profile clash that will pit two of WWE’s biggest stars against each other.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Big E previewed this bout by noting that it’s a vital opportunity to cement his status as a main-event player.
“It is massive for me,”said. “If we go out there and have the match we’re capable of having, we can have people clamoring to see it again, even at WrestleMania. I know what’s at stake.”
To drive home the importance of this match, the WWE Champion stated that it’s his chance to be “the guy.” Many fans view Reigns as the undisputed top star in WWE, but Big E has a chance to complicate that narrative on Sunday.
“This is my opportunity to be the guy,” said Big E. “And I’m ready for it.”
“I don’t take this opportunity or responsibility lightly,” said Big E. “I’m excited to get in there with Roman, and I think we’ll put on a banger.”
The WWE Universe won’t have to wait much longer to see this bout, as Survivor Series is just one day away at the time of this writing.
