Taya Valkyrie speaks out on the latest round of WWE talent cuts.
Taya Valkyrie, the former Franky Monet, posted the following comments on Twitter in response to Thursday’s WWE talent releases:
Stop supporting a company that has ZERO respect for their talent. You love pro wrestling, spend your money on the hundreds of other alternatives. This is wrong. Ethically, as employers they don’t care about us. Talent or fans.
Eight performers were released by WWE on Thursday evening, including Valkyrie’s husband, John Morrison. Budget cuts were cited as the reason for the latest round of releases, per an email sent to talent by John Laurinaitis. Valkyrie was also released by the company two weeks ago on November 4.
Valkyrie followed up with another statement, adding that “The Mundos” will be fine in the end.
I said what I said [Woman shrugging emoji]. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming!!! And rebuilding our empire.
