Chris Jericho Wants To Face Minoru Suzuki, Team Up With Kenny Omega In Japan

Chris Jericho has done it all; he’s a living legend, and at this point, it’s fair to wonder what’s next for the former AEW World Champion.

In an interview with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Jericho made it clear that he’s far from finished. Instead, he wants to keep helping AEW grow, as the company continues to reach new heights. As for himself, “Le Champion” shared three dream matches left on his list, and just the thought of them is sure to excite fans throughout the wrestling world.

Jericho named Minoru Suzuki and Will Ospreay as two stars he’d like to face. He also pitched the idea of teaming up with Kenny Omega in a clash with two of Nw Japan Pro-Wrestling’s most renowned wrestlers in recent memory.

“I’d like to go to Japan a couple more times if it’s an AEW styled show,” said Jericho. “I’d love to work with [Minoru] Suzuki over there, I’d love to work with Will Ospreay. I’d love to do a tag team with Kenny Omega in Japan. I think Omega and Jericho versus [Hiroshi] Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada is a Tokyo Dome sell out. I have all of that in my back pocket.”

Jericho previously expressed his interest in facing Suzuki during an exchange with a fan on Twitter. Someone pitched the idea of Jericho facing Suzuki at Wrestle Kingdom 16, and “Le Champion” seemed to be on board with the idea.

In the same interview, “Le Champion” explained that no matter who he winds up facing in his last match, the goal remains the same.

“No, it doesn’t matter,” Jericho said. “Because if you look at my career, it’s always been about going out there and making great stuff out of what I’ve been given.

“It’s easy to have a final match against Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker. It’s easy to have a great final match with these great, great workers and to me, I won’t even know when it’s my final match. It’ll probably be someone like Marko Stunt. We’ll go out there, have a great match, tear the house down and I’ll go ‘you know what? That’s pretty much it.”

For now, fans will just have to wait and see exactly what the future holds for Jericho; presently, “Le Champion” is engaged in a heated feud with Dan Lambert and the entirety of American Top Team.
