H2O Wrestling has announced a dream match for deathmatch wrestling fans.

It’s been announced that on Halloween night, Sunday, October 31, Japanese death-match legend Atsushi Onita will take-on Matt Tremont at the promotion’s ‘Destiny’ event which will be held at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey.

From H2O:

On October 31, 2021, a co-promoted event between the Hardcore Hustle Organization (H2O Wrestling) and FMW-E entitled “DESTINY” will take place at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey featuring a match that the wrestling world has been waiting to see for four years.

The main event will feature the most anticipated deathmatch in US history as Japanese deathmatch pioneer Atsushi Onita travels to the United States one more time to face one of the greatest deathmatch wrestlers of the modern era, “The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont, in Tremont’s first match back since retiring from the squared circle just one year ago.

The match promises to bring for the first time on United States soil, the true authentic look and feel of an Exploding Ring Deathmatch that Onita made famous in the 1990s with FMW as this match will be contested under CURRENT BLAST DOUBLE HELL DEATHMATCH rules.

Onita was the one that wanted this match, calling out Tremont in a series of videos that went viral on social media throughout this past spring and summer, going so far as to question if the Bulldozer was scared to come back and face him.

Tremont, wanting to stay retired because he felt he had to, having no purpose left to wrestle anymore after his last match back in October of 2020, dodged answering the man that he himself had originally called out to face him four years ago until finally back in August after his students, his friends and even his wife pleaded with him to give an answer, Tremont accepted Onita’s challenge to do battle one more time.
