Zicky Dice: It’s A ‘Dangerous Time’ Because Now I Get To Spread My Wings And Prove People Wrong

Zicky Dice recently signed with IMPACT Wrestling, and he recently explained why it’s consequently a “dangerous time” because he now gets to show the world what he can do.

In a recent appearance on the Straight Shooting podcast, Dice explained how he never got to spread his wings during his run with the NWA. While he didn’t land in his ultimate destination of AEW, Dice noted that “now is the time when s—- really gets fun”, in IMPACT Wrestling and elsewhere, because he’ll prove everyone wrong.

“I try and do everything with 110% percent,” said Dice. “I don’t want to give anyone a reason to say no. And I’m living proof that if you don’t take no for an answer and you keep on pushing, and you keep on pushing, then eventually something’s gotta give. I’m so excited. I’m so inspired and right now it’s a dangerous time, it’s a very dangerous time for, hell, my colleagues, and this forbidden door that everyone speaks of because the thing is, I’m hungry.”

“…Now, now’s the time, if you’re watching right now, here’s what I want to do. I want to open up this fanny pack, I’m gonna give everyone a little bit of Zicky Dice stock, boom. There it is, because now is the time when s—- really gets fun. Now we get to spread our wings, and now we get to prove people wrong and show them what I’m truly capable of. And that’s the exciting part. If you haven’t followed the journey, now’s the time. I have yet to spread my wings and it’s a very scary time…no one can stop me, and it’s exciting. I am so excited, I am so excited to be in the position where I’m at.”

Dice then revealed that IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore was so impressed with his hustle and his work outside of the ring that he signed him without watching the former NWA World Television Champion wrestle.

“I’ll let you in on some insights — Scott D’Amore said, ‘Zicky, I’ll be honest; I signed you without even seeing you work in the ring,'” said Dice. “‘I don’t know if you can wrestle.’ He said, ‘I just see what you’ve been doing on the side and your hustle and these videos and your grind,’ and it made me realize like, oh, they have no idea! No idea.”

Though Dice is finally getting a prominent platform with IMPACT Wrestling, he described how, in some ways, he still gets rejected in his ongoing quest, but these setbacks only push him to overcome and triuph.

“I still get told no, I still get left on read, and it motivates me,” said Dice. “It motivates me more and more. And there’s no one on the scene doing what I’m doing, and I say that with pride.”
