Andrade El Idolo and PAC finally faced off in a match this week on AEW Rampage. Their bout at AEW All Out was postponed due to travel issues, so the two stars were more than ready to go on Friday night.
Andrade ultimately won a match that certainly would have stolen the show on any pay-per-view card. In the end, some interference from Chavo Guerrero helped Andrade win the bout, but “El Idolo” betrayed his advisor after the match because he wanted to earn the victory by himself.
Here’s how the end of the match came about, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:
PAC got the better of Andrade during a counter exchange, but “The Bastard” dodged a diving stomp and hit a moonsault to the outside. Back in the ring, PAC got a two count with a 450 splash. Andrade briefly gained the upper hand, but PAC floored him with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex in the corner.

PAC locked in his signature submission hold, The Brutalizer, but a distraction from Andrade’s lawyer Jose let Chavo Guerrero blast PAC with an iPad from behind and, subsequently, Andrade pinned PAC.

After the match, Jose told Andrade about Guerrero’s interference, and “El Idolo” rocked Chavo with a stiff strike. He walked out on Guerrero and left him at the mercy of Death Triangle, who attacked him. PAC put Guerrero in the Brutalizer and refused to let him go untilma group of officials intervened.
