ROH World Television Championship: Dragon Lee (c) vs. Eli Isom
Dalton Castle, Isom’s opponent at ROH Death Before Dishonor is on commentary for the bout. In a pre-match promo, Isom says he has been chasing the title for several months, and he has finally earned a shot. He tearfully declares to fulfill his promise to his mother by winning this match, and he confidently says he knows he can do it.
As impressive as Eli Isom has been, he undoubtedly is the underdog against Dragon Lee, who has become one of the best wrestlers in the sport.

On the other hand, Lee calls Isom a good wrestler, but he says he’s going to defend the title he never lost. He states that the dragon has woken up.
Lee and Isom shake hands at the beginning of the match. The two opponents lock up and feel each other out. Lee strikes a pose, but Isom catches him with a kick to the gut. Lee sends Isom to the outside with a hurricanrana, and the champion hits a dive to the outside. After Lee sends Isom into the barricade, he gets the challenger back into the ring and grounds him.
Lee locks in a stretch muffler, but he escapes by reaching the ropes. Isom drops Lee with an arm drag and takes him down with a dive to the outside. A diving crossbody earns Isom a two count. Isom and Lee trade blows, and both men refuse to go down. Lee finally catches Isom with a dropkick that leaves both men down on the mat.

Lee rocks Isom with a slingshot kick to the face, but the challenger suplexes the champion. Isom drops Lee with a German suplex, but Lee gets right back to his feet. Lee spikes Isom with a poison-rana, but the challenger fires back with a nasty clothesline. Lee roars back with one of his own, but Isom hits a backbreaker and a neckbreaker for a two count. The champion drapes Isom over the ropes and nails a diving stomp. He blasts Isom with a running knee.

Isom floors Isom with another knee to the back of the head. The challenger fires up and hits The Promise for a near fall. Lee counters another attempt and drops Isom with a knee to the face. Another knee practically knocks Isom out, and Lee hits a modified Falcon Arrow for a two count. Lee hits the Incinerator knee for the three count.

Lee shakes Isom’s hand after the match in an unexpected showing of sportsmanship.
