The National Wrestling Alliance is continuing to load up the field for the NWA Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament, which will be showcased at NWA Empowerrr.
On August 16, the promotion announced that AEW stars Red Velvet and KiLynn King will join The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) in the competition. The inclusion of this duo is the latest collaboration between the NWA and AEW, two promotions that have built an increasingly strong working relationship.
At the moment, Red Velvet is coming off a high-profile loss to AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker on the debut episode of AEW Rampage, but she has otherwise been on a roll recently. Meanwhile, King joined Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Family earlier this month.
