All Elite Wrestling is loading up the card for the August 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
After Chris Jericho defeated Wardlow in the fourth “Labour,” he earned a rematch with MJF, but some challenging stipulations have been attached to the contest. Jericho won’t be able to use his signature move, the Judas Effect;iIf Jericho attempts to use the move, MJF will be declared the victor. Additionally, he won’t be allowed to come to the ring with his popular “Judas” theme song.
Elsewhere in the rivalry between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle, Sammy Guevara will face Shawn Spears. The broadcast team made it clear that Guevara will also have a “big announcement.”
Wednesday’s show will also feature a title match, as the Young Bucks will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.) Plus, in a Texas Tornado Tag Team Match, Darby Allin and Sting will face 2.0, formerly known as Ever-Rise. Not counting the cinematic Street Fight at AEW Revolution, this bout will mark Sting’s second traditional wrestling match since he signed with the company last December. Sting and Allin defeated Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page at AEW Double or Nothing.
The updated card is as follows:
- The Five Labours Of Jericho, Chapter Five: Chris Jericho vs. MJF (Jericho can’t use the Judas Effect or enter the arena with his “Judas” theme song)
- AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Jurassic Express
- Shawn Spears vs. Sammy Guevara; Guevara also has a “big announcement”
- Texas Tornado Tag Team Match: Darby Allin and Sting vs. 2.0
- Dan Lambert will be in attendance with two “great” UFC Champions to back him up
