Mickie James Reveals The Rules For The NWA Empowerrr Invitational Match

NWA Empowerrr is right around the corner and now we know how their Women’s Invitational match will go down.

The all-women’s event will feature the NWA Women’s Invitational, a ten-woman bout with the winner moving on to face the NWA Women’s Champion at NWA 73. Up until now, we had no idea what to expect from this match, aside from a few of the competitors. Luckily, Mickie James explained the rules this afternoon and also revealed that the order of entry into this match would be determined by Gail Kim, Jazz, Madusa, and herself.

According to James, two women will start the match, and a new entrant will join the match every two minutes. Eliminations will be by pinfall or submission, so traditional battle royal rules will not apply. Check out the full rundown below:

“Rules of the 1st EVER @nwa #WomensInvitational are simple. 10 women have been selected by myself & my team of advisors. The #Top10 Women we think would & could make incredible #WomensChampions to compete in the #MainEvent of #EMPOWERRR to become not only the #1st cup holder but will then go on to Face the @nwa #WomensChampion the very next night for a chance at #TheBurke on #NWA73

“The #NWAWomens Championship IS also on the line at #EMPowerrr #Kamille vs @AEW’s own @LegitLeyla
The champion could #Legit change hands 2 nights in a row. 2 women will start. Order to be determined by myself & my #badass team! @Madusa_rocks @gailkimITSME @Phenom_Jazz #QueensOfTheRoundTable

“Every 2 minutes a #New woman enters. Eliminations #ONLY by Pinfall or Submission. There will ONLY be 1 winner annually. #EMPOWERRR @nwa” Mickie James said in a series of tweets this afternoon.
