Chris Jericho Beats Nick Gage In No Rules Match, Juventud Guerrera Announced As Third Labour

Chris Jericho’s second Labour is finished. After he survived his first test last week, Jericho took to the ring tonight on the special “Fight for the Fallen” episode of AEW Dynamite, where the former AEW World Champion defeated Nick Gage in a brutal No Rules Match.

In a match that was wild from the very start, Jericho and Gage slugged it out for a few minutes, with both superstars eventually taking things outside of the ring. There, Jericho threw Gage into the barricade and back into the ring. After some more back-and-forth between the two, it was Gage’s turn to get the upper hand, as he went underneath the ring and began pulling out light tubes. But Jericho was prepared, and he hit Gage with a bat.

After avoiding multiple swings from Jericho, Gage eventually got the upper hand and surprised the crowd by pulling out a pizza cutter and repeatedly slicing it across Jericho’s forehead. With Jericho down for a bit, Gage then grabbed a huge pane of glass, setting it up between two chairs before he tried to use it to hurt Jericho. But “Le Champion” managed to flip Gage over and toss him through the pane of glass with a hurricanrana.

Despite being put through the glass, Gage wouldn’t go down lightly, as he got up and began smashing light tubes over Jericho’s back. He then dropped Jericho with a piledriver onto the shards of glass. Still, Jericho wouldn’t be denied, and after more bloody brawling between the two star, Jericho blinded Gage by spitting green mist in his face. He then smashed a bundle of light tubes over his head and hit the Judas Effect for the victory.

Following the huge win, MJF got up from his spot at the commentary desk and began complaining about it. However, he ended the matter by saying that third labour would be the hardest yet, as Jericho’s opponent would be none other than Juventud Guerrera. MJF called Guerrera one of the greatest luchadors of all time. He famously feuded with Jericho during their time together in WCW, and he is a three-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion.
