Dwayne Johnson continues to stay busy in the world of film and pop culture, but his pro wrestling return continues to be a hot topic of discussion. He’s an executive producer on the new Disney+ show Behind The Attraction and has Red One in the works at Amazon, but he’s also rumored to be in line for an appearance at this year’s Survivor Series event in Brooklyn, and a potential tag team match at WrestleMania 38.

It’s also possible that The Rock’s two worlds collide, as Malcolm D. Lee, the director of Space Jam: A New Legacyrecently spoke with Entertainment Weekly and talked about ideas for a potential third film in the series if it came to fruition. In regards to the story for another film, Lee said Dwayne Johnson would be “an interesting choice” for a lead in the (normally) basketball-centered series and questioned if a return to wrestling would make a good narrative.
