Slapjack and Reckoning are no longer the names that will be used by Shane Thorne and Mia Yim on WWE TV.
According to a new report from PWInsider.com, both Thorne and Yim will no longer be using Slapjack and Reckoning as their respective ring names in WWE moving forward. It was noted that as of now, they’ll be using (unless they get another new creative direction) the names they had before they joined Retribution, Shane Thorne and Mia Yim.
The Retribution stable was featured on WWE TV between August 2020 and March of this year, splitting up at the Fastlane pay-per-view. Mace and T-Bar still team together on RAW but Thorne and Yim haven’t been brought back to WWE TV since they walked out on the group at Fastlane, and Yim hasn’t wrestled since a loss on December 28, 2020 to Nikki Cross on WWE Main Event. Thorne had been used sparingly this year, but recently worked a dark match at the June 25 SmackDown TV tapings against Karrion Kross.
Speaking of Cross, PWInsider is also reporting that her official ring name is now Nikki ASH, which stands for “Almost a Super Hero.” None of these changes are currently reflected on the WWE website’s roster page, but should be updated accordingly.
Finally, it was confirmed that Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart are officially part of the SmackDown roster now. The pair debuted on SmackDown on July 9, scoring an upset win over Natalya and Tamina on the show. It was noted that the team’s appearance was meant to be their official debut, and was not planned as a “one-and-done” cameo.
