A few NXT performers are backstage at WWE SmackDown tonight.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that a few NXT stars are working dark matches ahead of this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. NXT Champion Karrion Kross, Shotzi Blackheart, Toni Storm and Odyssey Jones are participating in these unaired matches. This appearance marks the third week in a row that Kross has has backstage at a main roster show after he was backstage at WWE RAW this week. Blackheart has also made a few appearances in recent weeks.
Kross is facing Cesaro, and Blackheart is working against Storm. Jones (Omari Palmer) is the most unknown competitor of the three, as he hasn’t been featured much on NXT TV since his debut in November 2019. He’s facing WWE veteran Robert Roode in a dark match. Palmer is a former football player, as he played for Syracuse University before he signed with WWE.
