Tyler Breeze has been released by WWE.
According to Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp, Tyler Breeze was released by WWE on Friday afternoon. Breeze originally signed with the company in 2010 and performed as Mike Dalton before rebranding as Tyler Breeze when the company rebranded the NXT show. Breeze enjoyed a singles career on NXT, and both RAW and SmackDown after he was called up.
He would later begin teaming with Fandango in 2016 as “Breezango”, and the pair won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2020. The team’s last match together was a loss to Imperium’s Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel on the June 15 episode of NXT.
Fandango was also released as part of Friday’s cuts.
