Serena Deeb returned to the ring on AEW Dynamite this week, and she brought her NWA Women’s World Championship with her. In a title match against Red Velvet, Deeb showed off her veteran skills en route to a successful title defense.

Deeb clearly used the fire of being back in the ring to her advantage early on, as she absorbed some kicks to the midsection from Velvet and responded with a stiff forearm and a big slam to drop Velvet. As the two women continued to brawl, Deeb gained more momentum, and she eventually got two near-falls with the help of a huge Tenryu powerbomb.

Velvet fought with the heart of a lion, but Deeb’s expertise. Late in the match, the champion hit an emphatic chop block before she slammed Red’s knee into the post. Deeb then trapped Velvet in the Serenity Lock and forced her to tap out.
