Jessamyn Duke And Vanessa Borne Reportedly Released Among Several Other NXT Talents

The hits keep coming.

WWE continues to announce a wave of releases from the NXT brand.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jessamyn Duke of the MMA Four Horsewomen and Vanessa Borne are the newest additions to the growing list of names.

Duke previously fought in the UFC, and she made her NXT debut in 2018 alongside Marina Shafir. The duo was paired with Shayna Baszler until the former NXT Women’s Champion got called up to the main roster. Duke returned to WWE programming when she appeared on RAW Underground this past August. She is also renowned for her work on the YouTube series, “UpUpDownDown.”

As for Borne, the former professional cheerleader was trained by Rikishi and Gangrel, and she signed with WWE in 2016. The highlight of her NXT run was an alliance with Aliyah. In 2020, Borne was reportedly called up to the main roster, but she never appeared on WWE RAW or SmackDown.

In yet another update, Johnson reports that Kavita Devi has been released, too. She signed with WWE in 2017 after she competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Johnson notes that Devi had reportedly been slotted for a spot in a tag team match with Charlotte Flair at WWE Superstar Spectacle, but she was unable to compete at the event due to a personal matter. Devi hasn’t wrestled for WWE since July 2019.

WrestleZone will have coverage of any more cuts as soon as more information becomes available.
