ROH Wrestling Results (5/17/21): Six-Man Tag Title Match, Rankings Battle Royal

Josh Woods vs. Silas Young

Before this collision between two partners-turned-enemies, the former members of “Two Guys, One Tag” give sit-down interviews. Young explains why he attacked Woods at ROH 19th Anniversary. He says he was flourishing as a singles wrestler before he put his success aside to help Woods. Young says before he teamed up with him, nobody cared about Woods. “The Last Real Man” says he taught Woods what wreslting is all about, but the young star blew him off. Young simply says decision has consequences. He warns that he has a few more lessons to teach Woods.

Meanwhile, Woods is so upset that he storms off the set before he says anything in his interview.

Young attacks Woods during his entrance and talks some trash. He throws his former partner into the barricade. Woods gains the upper hand when he kicks a chair into Young’s face. The fight finally enters the ring, so the match officially begins. Young uses his veteran prowess to catch Woods by surprise and take control. He suplexes “The Goods” and hits him witb a dropkick.

Woods squashes Woods’ attempt to rally with a Codebreaker. He continues to ground his former partner. Woods counters a suplex, but his back gives out. “The Goods” tries to keep fighting, but Young drops him with a big boot. Woods rallies with a flurry of offense, but Woods catches him with an Anarchist Suplex for a two count. Woods tries to suplex Young, but “The Last Real Man” rolls through and gets a two count with a pin attempt.

Woods and Young battle on the apron. They talk some trash, and Woods tries to suplex Young off the apron. Woods tosses Young back into the ring and locks in an arm-bar. But Young turns it around on him byputting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to pick up the victory.

Winner: Silas Young
