Taylor Wilde’s In-Ring Return Set For 4/29 Episode Of IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling is finally getting Wilde.

Taylor Wilde versus Kimber Lee has been confirmed for this week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling. The match marks Wilde’s officially in-ring return with IMPACT, and her first match overall since February 2011.

Wilde announced she was coming out of retirement last year, but the pandemic held up plans for her in-ring return until now. She has been featured in teaser videos the past few weeks on IMPACT, and made her on-air return at Rebellion on Sunday night to save Tenille Dashwood from an attack by Kimber Lee, Susan and Deonna Purrazzo.

Wilde spoke with WrestleZone last year about her return to the ring, explaining that she’s able to travel from Canada now due to more stable pandemic protocols. During the interview, she named a few potential opponents she had her eye on.

“Killer Kelly is someone I haven’t ever met, or had the ability to work with since I was retired as she was coming up and I’ve been watching her matches for both research and as a fan. I think for myself as a ‘former’ professional wrestler—or, I’m back into it, I don’t know what to even call myself anymore,” Wilde said, “but yeah, there’s definitely that dual interest where I might be researching who is on the up-and-up, but I also watch as a fan and that’s what connects me. Kiera Hogan is another one, but even going over to NXT, Io Shirai, she is so incredible. There’s just so much motivation out there, so I think even if I’m just watching matches as a fan, it’s definitely motivation as well.”
