The first-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships were crowned tonight when Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez were given their belts to start the night. Unfortunately for them, the second-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships were also crowned tonight, as Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon took them down to win the titles.
In a match featuring two teams that have quickly become rivals as of late, it was Moon and Blackheart that got the last laugh. Late in the match, Blackheart was able to send Dakota Kai right into her teammate, and Gonzalez and Moon both went spilling over the top rope and out of the ring. Inside the ring, Blackheart thought fast and quickly rolled up Kai, giving them the win and ushering in a brand new reign of champions.
