All of the legends are on the stage to watch the next match.
WWE Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Keith Lee
McIntyre and Lee lock up. McIntyre forces Lee into the ropes. McIntyre gives Lee a clean break. Lee drives McIntyre into the corner. Lee gives McIntyre a clean break but pushes him away. McIntyre tries a shoulder block but Lee doesn’t budge. Lee leapfrogs McIntyre and floors him with a shoulder block. McIntyre and Lee trade strikes. Lee telegraphs a back body drop. McIntyre kicks Lee in the head. McIntyre hits the ropes but gets blasted with a stiff elbow strike by Lee. McIntyre is clutching at his jaw. Lee launches McIntyre out of the ring. Lee pounces McIntyre over the barricade!
After the break, Lee is focusing his attack on McIntyre’s ribs. Lee gutshots McIntyre in the corner. Lee drives his shoulder into McIntyre’s midsection. McIntyre tries to fire back but Lee drives McIntyre back with a right hand to the face and a right to the gut. Lee gets a near fall. Lee slams McIntyre damn near through the mat. McIntyre manages to kick out. McIntyre blocks grizzly magnum. McIntyre tries a belly-to-belly but he can’t get Lee up. Lee picks up McIntyre but McIntyre wiggles off of Lee’s shoulder. McIntyre pushes Lee into the corner. McIntyre belly-to-belly suplexes Lee. Neckbreaker by McIntyre. McIntyre kips up. McIntyre tries the Claymore but Lee avoids it. One-armed spinebuster by Lee.
McIntyre rolls out of the ring. Lee goes out to the apron. The referee tells Lee to get it back in the ring. As Lee is distracted, McIntyre pulls Lee off the apron. McIntyre powerbombs Lee on the point of the table. The table explodes as Lee makes impact. After the break, Lee lands grizzly magnum. Lariat by Lee for a near fall. Lee tries another lariat but McIntyre tries to reverse it into a backslide. Lee flips McIntyre over but McIntyre immediately hits the future shock DDT. Lee somehow kicks out. McIntyre goes up top.
Lee headbutts McIntyre in the gut. Lee goes up top. McIntyre and Lee trade strikes. Lee steps up to the top rope. Lee hits a Spanish Fly off the top rope! McIntyre kicks out at 2.8. Lee sets up the Spirit Bomb. McIntyre reverses it into a spinebuster. McIntyre calls for the Claymore. Lee catches McIntyre’s foot. Lee deadlifts McIntyre off the mat for the Spirit Bomb. McIntyre escapes and hits the Claymore for the win.
Winner and STILL WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre!
McIntyre grabs a mic and attempts to say something to Lee but Goldberg’s music hits. Goldberg powerwalks to the ring. McIntyre hands Goldberg the mic. Goldberg says there couldn’t be a better person as champion. For everything McIntyre has, the one thing he doesn’t have is respect. Goldberg says he knows when McIntyre looks at the legends on the stage he just sees a bunch of washed-up has-beens that don’t pose a threat to him. That’s where Goldberg comes in. Goldberg challenges McIntyre to a match at the Royal Rumble. McIntyre says fighting Goldberg at this point would be like fighting his dad. Goldberg laughs. McIntyre laughs. Goldberg pushes McIntyre on his ass as the show closes.
