Nevaeh is heaven spelled backward. You’ve heard it many times before, but you’ve never listened to the current IMPACT Wrestling Knockout explain how she came up with the name.
Nevaeh was this week’s guest on Wilde On with Taylor Wilde, and the two talked about her “unique” ring name, which she chose in tribute to her niece.
“My niece’s name is Heavenly and when she was younger, it was one of these, ‘No one’s named after me!’ And I thought I was so clever, like ‘Nevaeh, yeah!’ It turns out that ended up being a very popular name for that timeframe. But in my head, I was super, super clever at the time.”
Nevaeh also joked that in addition to it not being as clever as she first thought, it sometimes confuses people at live events.
“It’s definitely different. It’s one of those when you hear it at shows, you’re like, ‘Man, why didn’t I pick an easier name?’ When I first started making a name for myself why didn’t someone say ‘Why don’t you pick a different name?’”
