Tonight’s no-holds-barred match between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio not only marked the end of their rivalry, but also signaled the beginning of something new. In a shocking ending, Buddy Murphy helped Mysterio come away with a win, and cemented himself in Mysterio’s good graces, as well as earning a spot in their circle of trust at the end of the match.
In a match that was billed as the final chapter of the Rollins-Mysterio saga, things were brutal from the start, with both giving it they’re all to come away with a win. Late in the match though, Murphy made his presence known, getting into the ring to help Rollins up before handing him a chair. Just as Rollins went to hit Mysterio with it, though, Murphy landed a huge running knee to Rollins to knock him down. Stunned, Rollins then chased after Murphy, setting himself up perfectly for a 619 from Mysterio that led to the win. After the match, Mysterio thanked Murphy, before Aalyah Mysterio ran in to hug Murphy and the rest of Mysterio’s family welcomed him into an embrace.
