Another sad passing to report in the world of pro wrestling. Former Westside Xtreme Wrestling Unified World Champion Karsten Beck has passed away after a long battle with brain cancer. Beck was a regular in wXw as well as several other promotions around Europe in his time in the ring. He retired from competition in 2016 and underwent surgery for his condition later that year. He still appeared for wXw as an authority figure and was a beloved figure behind the scenes.
The promotion reported the passing on Twitter today, paying him tribute and wishing the best to his family and his significant other, Ruth. Beck was 33.
We wish Karsten's family and Ruth, those who have walked along Karsten until the very end, all the strength in the world.
We miss you, Karsten.

We always asked him for feedbacks and ideas since he got a different vision about wrestling. We really appreciated every time when he shared his knowledge with us.

RIP Karsten ? This is not the news I wanted to wake up to. He was such sweet, outgoing guy. He looked out for me while I was in Germany. I’m glad you’re not in pain anymore https://t.co/VnzoWq8m4G

I’ll miss him.
He was a big part of @wXwGermany and it’s going to be weird not seeing him around. The backstage without him telling his dark, dark jokes won’t be the same. https://t.co/XJD7InH6NI
