Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown ended with a tag team match, as Jey Uso and Roman Reigns took on Sheamus and Baron Corbin. However, Reigns was a bit of a late arrival, showing up late in the match to help a battered Uso come away with a big win.
After getting into a back and forth with each other earlier in the night, Uso stepped into the ring against both superstars tonight, but his cousin was nowhere to be found. With no help available, Sheamus and Corbin delivered an assault on Uso, although Jey was able to kick out of any pinfalls to keep the match alive. Late in the match, Reigns finally arrived, distracting Sheamus enough for Uso to land a big superkick on him. Once Reigns was tagged in, he and Uso began to take over, with Reigns ending the match courtesy of a huge spear to Sheamus. Following the end of the match, Uso joined Reigns and Paul Heyman on the ramp, with Uso holding up Reigns’ hand at the end. However, Reigns was also holding onto the WWE Universal Championship, and shot Uso a glare as Uso lifted up the hand.
