The second night of IMPACT Emergence saw Rob Van Dam answer Eddie Edwards’ open challenge. While the savvy veteran put up a valiant effort, Edwards was able to hit a Boston Knee Party after “RVD” missed his signature frog splash. That was enough for the champion to retain his belt.
After the match, rival Eric Young attacked Edwards and said that he’s answering the call next week. “Defending the world title goes through me,” Young screamed. “I’ll see you next week, Eddie!”
