ICW New York Parts Ways Professionally, Pulls Chris Dickinson From ‘Deathmatch Drive-In’ Lineup; Dickinson Comments

ICW New York posted the following, announcing that they’ve not only pulled Chris Dickinson from their upcoming “Deathmatch Drive-In” events but they’ve also severed business ties with him as well.

According to the announcement, ICW claims Dickinson doesn’t want to “do that to the home team” and pulled him from their “No Holds Barred Vol 2: Deathmatch Drive-In” event on June 27. While no other information was given by ICW, it’s worth noting that Dickinson also works for Game Changer Wrestling, who will be hosting a Backyard Wrestling 2 event on July 4, the same day as ICW’s “No Holds Barred Vol 3: Deathmatch Drive-In” event in Atlantic City.

CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE

We were informed by Dickinson that he can no longer make the July 4th NHB event because he “can’t do that to the home team” so we have decided to part ways with Chris professionally for now and wish him and his team the best. give us a few, we got this

Dickinson has since posted his response to ICW’s announcement, noting that he apologizes if anyone has an issue with him canceling a booking but he has reasons for his actions. Dickinson says he was still open to working with ICW on the June 27 event but it was the promotion’s decision to stop working with him altogether.

If anybody has a problem with me canceling a booking or taking one booking over another that’s my business and there’s reasons involved that isn’t anyone’s business. I wanted to do the ICW show on the 20th but not July 4th and it was ICW’s decision to take me off the 20th. [sic]

Sorry for the inconvenience and I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the 20th [sic] especially Tony. Again if you’re bothered with me over it I apologize but it’s my decision. Best of luck to everyone on the shows and the company in the future.

Chris Dickinson was originally scheduled to face Tony Deppen on the June 24 event.
