Rhea Ripley recently spoke with TV insider, where she spoke about her upcoming match with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, and how her family will unfortunately have to miss out on being in attendance thanks to the current ongoing issues surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus.
When asked about her family and what it would mean for them to be there, Ripley acknowledge it was tough, and said that they were going to travel, but obviously cannot now.
“That’s probably one of the hardest things for me at this point, because my family were going to come down. I haven’t seen them for a long time,” she said. “My mom, dad and sister were going to make the trip down for it. Knowing that I won’t be able to see them, and they won’t be able to see me perform, it’s heartbreaking.
It’s such a big thing for my career. I wanted them to be there and a part of it with me. They’ll be watching from home. I can hear my mom screaming at the TV right now. I’ve been talking to them here and there when I’m not trying to get everything organized. I know that they are there and cheering me on. They are going to support me no matter what. It’s definitely sad I wont’ get to see them in person.”
While Ripley’s parents and family will unfortunately not be able to be in attendance, she’ll still be looking to put on a huge show. With a match against one of the most revered female superstars in WWE history, Ripley will also be looking to solidify her place as a true champion, and earn her WrestleMania moment.
