According to a recent tweet from CBS Tampa’s Ryan Bass, the City of Tampa and Jane Castor – the mayor of Tampa, Florida – will meet this week to discuss canceling or postponing “major” events that are set to take place in the city.
As of now, there has been no word on whether or not anything major will be postponed, but it seems like the option is at least available. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) virus, it seems as if the city is looking at all possible options. Obviously, this raises major questions on WrestleMania 36, which is set to take place just a month from now on April 5 in Tampa, Florida. With other sports leagues beginning to contemplate playing games without any fans in attendance, it’ll be very interesting to see how WWE responds, and what their plan for one of the biggest nights in sports entertainment ends up being.
.@CityofTampa and @JaneCastor will meet on Thursday to discuss canceling or postponing "major" events due to #Coronavirus. This weekend's River O'Green fest isn't likely to be canceled.
